Yer Blues

From Robot Wisdom Weblog, a link to WFMU's Beware of the Blog, which features one of the most amazing (and relatively unknown) musical collaborations in history.

In 1968, the Rolling Stones had a television special titled "Rock and Roll Circus. John Lennon performed "Yer Blues," which was the first time he'd performed in public without The Beatles. And he found some, um, decent musicians to play with him--Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and Mitch Mitchell (drummer for the Jimi Hendrix experience).

They tear the song up, as you'd expect them to. Absoluely scorching.

Yes, that's Yoko Ono crawling into a big black bag. Moron.
