Hopeful
It's a big day today, I hope.
I'm seeing a non-surgical orthopedist--I've been waiting eight weeks for the appointment--to obtain a specific diagnosis on what's wrong with my shoulder.
The physical therapist I'm seeing believes it's inflammation causing an impingement, but I'm not sure it's that simple. Still, I'm hoping for an injection to lessen the inflammation, at a minimum.
With a specific diagnosis, I can set up a physical therapy plan that's specifically targeted at the problem instead of taking the (current) generalist approach.
It's screwing up my swimming, which is a major mental health contributor in my life. So I hope this is a step in the right direction.
