Calling All Molyneux

DQ reader Ted Leiker sent me an interesting e-mail that asked why a publisher didn’t sign Introversion and then publish Darwinia with a big name attached, like “Peter Molyneux’s Darwinia.”

That’s a really interesting idea, which leads to another one: why haven’t any of the tier one developers already contacted these guys and acted as their mentor and advocate? I promise you that if Peter Molyneux sat down with Darwinia, he would be consumed with both admiration and envy. Darwinia is so conceptually clean that it’s breathtaking. It’s the kind of game that Peter Molyneux, for all his creativity and good intentions, doesn’t make anymore. Why in the world doesn’t Molyneux or someone like him take Introversion under his wing?
