Xbox 360 Release Date
Microsoft has finally officially announced the Xbox 360 release date. In the U.S., it's November 22--the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. In Europe, December 2, and in Japan, December 10.The logical thing to do would have been to release it on the 16th, which would have been an anniversary of the first Xbox launch. How that extra six days is going to help them is beyond me. However, it's much, much better than the 25th, which had been rumored as a possible date. It lets all the people who reserved their systems pick them up without getting slapped around by the crazed Christmas shoppers, and if any systems are left over, they should get snapped up on Friday.
