We Wish You a Merry ChristmasMy good friend Stephen Saunders was in town last week (visiting from Canada), and he brought a Christmas present for Eli 4.3.
Seeing a Christmas present in early November sent the 4.3 mind into overdrive. After numerous pleadings to open the package, Eli laid on it like a casket jumper. Then he tried to "not tear" the wrapping paper about twenty times.
Gloria told me later that he put it in his bed before he went to sleep.
The next afternoon, Eli came home from school and he said "Daddy! Did Mommy tell you?"
"Tell me what?" I asked.
"Well," he said, "I ACCIDENTALLY tore some of the paper off that present."
"Yeah, but the PROBLEM is, I STILL can't see what it IS."
