Multi-Touch Interface

Here's an amazing link from Nathan Carpenter, who's attending the O'Reilly Emerging Technologies Conference this week. The link is to a video of an MTU (multi-touch interface), and all I can say is that it is stunning. Beautiful, actually. It's the kind of moment that reminds you that no matter how f-ed up the world is, we are still in a remarkable time.

Here's the link: http://mrl.nyu.edu/~jhan/ftirtouch/. That takes you to a general description, and the video link is on the right side (you can right-click and do a "save as" if you'd like instead of loading and playing it in the window). Believe me, there are moments in this video that will completely blow you away.

Nathan also said that this isn't one of those early prototype demos that are essentially vaporware. It's mature and it's also apparently not expensive.
