All-Pro 2K8 Info

From IGN:
When we asked Thomas how deep the customization of the gameplay would be, he replied that the development team wants to let players define what is going to make their squad a success, and that includes practically every aspect of the game. Gamers will have the opportunity to edit team names, player uniforms and even the cities that their teams will be able to play in. If players don't feel like tweaking a team at all, they can simply select one of the pre-built squads and leap into the game. As for the teams, Thomas mentioned that the squads will be comprised of a mix between legendary athletes that you choose and fictional pro players, although he didn't mention what the specific balance would be on a roster.

If you go to Gamespot, you get this:
Now, about the customization thing. Fans might have heard a rumor in the past couple of weeks that APF 2K8 will be light on customization, despite earlier reports to the contrary. Even though he wasn't willing to talk details yet, Thomas wants to set the record straight when it comes to customizing the game: "When I say 'customization,' I mean you will be able to customize everything. There's going to be a full customization engine in the game. That really is something that we also haven't seen before in a football game."

What makes my WTF radar go off on this is Thomas saying he "wasn't ready to talk details yet."

Let me get this straight--Thomas says he's not ready to talk about customization "details", but he does say "you will be able to customize everything." There's an odor coming off that. If you can customize everything, why wouldn't details be talked about?

This is another "media session" that seems to raise more questions than it answers. Again, this game ships in just over three months. How can anyone not be ready to talk details?
