Catch-Up
First off, Eli and I know a very nice fellow named Alex who is married to a lovely Japanese woman, and he is visiting his wife's family in Japan. Why does this matter to you? Because he started a blog called Japanese Culture, and it's filled with pictures and descriptions of what he's seeing. It's a terrific and interesting read, particularly if you've been curious about Japan beyond Tokyo.A bunch of you reminded me that Roger Ebert wrote a column years ago about theater operators underlighting films to save money on the expensive bulbs used in the projectors. Now he's revisited that with comments about 3-D here.
