Star Wars
Fozzie Yoda made me think about Star Wars.I remember seeing the original film in high school, after it being sold out for a month. It's all anyone was talking about. We stood in a giant line, finally got into the theater, and afterwards I was baffled.
I didn't like it, really.
I was already into dark science fiction (thanks, Ray Bradbury), and Star Wars seemed more like a live-action cartoon drawn in the broadest strokes. To me, it was bubblegum.
Here's my question: after a plethora of films and innumerable spinoffs, what part of the Star Wars universe isn't like that? If there are specific shows entirely lacking in bubblegum, please let me know.
