Masters
Eli 23.10 finished the requirements for his Master's degree yesterday.Mom 95.3 also has a Master's degree, earned around 1970. I remember her going during the summer, three days a week, for two years. It was an hour drive to Kingsville to the university. It was called Texas A&I back then.
I didn't understand then what incredible fortitude it took for Mom to spend her summer in class when she already worked so hard during the school year as a teacher. I just knew I had a babysitter who wasn't great in the making lunch department (to be fair, I was very fussy about my sandwiches).
Now there are two of us with Master's degrees. It's a nice moment.
