Not Quite Yet

The x-rays of my shoulder look great. For my age and activity level, anyway.

The orthopedist (who was excellent) put me through quite a few movement tests and looked at my MRI from eighteen months ago. Her conclusion was that the MRI missed something, which is entirely reasonable given my level of pain with certain movements. She pointed out certain discrepancies in the MRI which bolstered her opinion.

So, another MRI next Friday. This time, though, it will be done properly, and I trust the person who will do the evaluation. It's still progress, even if it's slightly sideways.

I broke a toe on Friday (come on, seriously?), and then walked a mile to physical therapy (shoulder) before it swelled up. It might have been multiple toes, so I guess it was luck of a kind. I've got the orthopedic shoe that's basically walking on a board to take pressure off it.

It's a battle on multiple fronts, but I'm still not discouraged. I just need to hang in there for a few weeks.
