The Dearth of Impressions
I haven't posted Pirates! impressions because I'm having a tremendously difficult time getting into the game. 90% of the e-mail I've received about it has been very positive, though, and the quality of your e-mail indicates to me that I'm having a temporary aberration. As I said a few days ago, trying to play Pirates after playing Half-Life 2 is probably a good way to bring on brain disease and some sort of uncurable, degenerative condition--the schism between the two in terms of technique is that great.I've also gotten some extremely positive e-mail about VTM: Bloodlines, in particular praising the depth of the experience. I'm looking forward to starting that as well.
