Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW
So many companies have aggressively committed to building LCD's, and they've created so much capacity, that there is an enormous glut of panels on the market, and prices are dropping rapidly as a result.Not this rapidly, though. Dell introduced a 24" widescreen LCD today--the UltraSharp 2405FPW--for $1,199. That's fully 50% below the price of competing panels. It can be used as either a PC monitor or an HD screen and it has an excellent response time, along with a wealth of features.

If you're wondering why you should care, here's why: if an excellent 24" LCD is $1,199, that's going to drive down the price of every competing 24" LCD. When that happens, it's going to force down the price of every other LCD as well. Quickly.
