7950 GX2 Reviews

The NDA on the NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2 graphics card has expired, and there are some excellent reviews out there. Here are links to two of them.
Tech Report (thanks Digg)
Anandtech.

Here's a very interesting excerpt from the Anandtech article:
With its first in-house multi-GPU design, NVIDIA has lifted the requirement for an SLI chipset and enabled the use of their 7950 GX2 on any motherboard with an X16 PCIe slot (provided the manufacturer has proper BIOS support, but more on that later).

That's right--no SLI board necessary to use this card (which differs from what I read only a few weeks ago) as long as the motherboard manufacturer offers "proper" BIOS support. That's a big deal, and it means you can get SLI performance with a single NVIDIA card--in an ATI based motherboard.
...we can confirm that the 7950 GX2 will actually run in many ATI based motherboards right now with the proper BIOS update.

Very cool.
