Dead Rising (Demo)
Okay, it's official: Dead Rising is going to be a smash hit.The demo is now available over the XBL Marketplace. It is insanely fun. It's so much fun that it should be wrong to have that much fun.
Thousands of zombies: great idea. Shopping mall: great idea. Every single weapon feeling unique: great idea. Everything can be used as a weapon: great idea. Taking photographs to increase your score: great idea. It's all great design, it's polished, and it's terrifically balanced.
I'll tell you exactly what this game feels like--you know how Rockstar always designs a perfect game, then they never quite finish and it's unbalanced and raggedy? Well, this feels very much like a Rockstar game in design, but the execution is light years beyond that.
This game is going to sell and sell and sell and sell.
