Sports Note: UT vs. OU
Even though I'm not a University of Texas football fan, I do live in Austin, and this week I've noticed something very, very odd.I've lived in Austin for almost twenty years, and this is the week of the big rivalry game with the University of Oklahoma, and no one seems to care. It is absolutely dead this week. Everyone I've talked to who is a UT fan seems to think it won't even be a game, that UT will win easily.
In a rivalry game, complacency normally translates into a win for the other team. I don't know if that will happen this year, but it is very, very quiet in Austin.
