I'm As Surprised As You Are
I'm always busting EA's chops because all too often, they suck, but here's something they did right:Leading publisher Electronic Arts announced today that it will make a $1 million grant to the Masters of Digital Media program (MDM) at the Great Northern Way Campus in Vancouver, British Columbia. The company is aiming "to advance interactive media education in Canada and create a launch pad for the next generation of interactive entertainment leaders."
EA's grant money will include an endowment and multiple scholarships. The publisher will also provide students with paid internships at EA's development studios, offer student mentoring programs and, supply teachers/lecturers from its executive ranks.
