Things Are Definitely Not Selling Like Waffles

Um, okay (thanks 1UP):
Sony's virtual world Home has definitely seen its share of problems, but apparently they haven't stopped users from pulling out their credit cards and buying virtual goods. In fact, in an interview with the Silicon Alley Insider (SAI) (via Ars Technica), Susan Panico, senior director of the PlayStation Network at Sony, says virtual goods have been selling like "hotcakes," with items below $4.99 generating more revenue than movies and videos that cost up to $14.99.

Hey, I guess "hotcakes" are a new way to count. What I'm not sure about, though, is what things are selling like if they're selling faster than hotcakes. And what if they're selling more slowly? What do we call that?
