Brutal Murder, Pt. 2
During the Championship game last night, CBS had 16 promos (either during the broadcast or as bumpers coming out commercial breaks) for their upcoming shows.Of the 16 promos, 15 involved murders (and, of course, they were all brutal). Some of my favorite phrases:
--"...in a fight for their lives"
--"Beware. There's a killer."
--"Anyone could be a victim-or a killer."
Here's the best part. The 16th promo was for Jay Mohr's show (a comedy), and it was a scene at a bowling alley. His wife is instructing him on how to hold a bowling ball "for a better grip" (which embarrasses him, and his punch line is "I'll remember that the next time I'm trying to bludgeon you with something."
Next week on CBS: a comedy promo with the line "A friend will help you move. A best friend will help you move a body."
