Sony Follow-Up
I've gotten so much e-mail about this that I figured I should post a note. I didn't include Betamax because it was introduced before 1991, and I only intended to go back fifteen years. It's certainly the poster child for failed Sony formats, though.I bought a Betamax player in 1988. I remember that it cost $350, and I also remember that I could have gotten a VHS player for $100 less. Argggh.
