A Little More About The Drought
The drought post generated some interesting, weather-related e-mail. A few notes from you guys:--Seattle has turned into a field of molten lava. Incredibly, it was 103 (an all-time high) last week. That was 28 degrees above the average high for that day! And Seattle has gotten 0.28 inches of rain in the less 75 days.
--Wisconsin, on the other hand, just had the coldest July in history, with average temperatures 9 degrees below normal.
One thing I forgot to mention yesterday: we've had roughly half rainfall for the last twenty-three months. I found two links with some excellent photographs of just how dry it's gotten around here.
