My extreme fondness for Dwarf Fortress is well-known to those of you who have read this "feature" over the years.It's also well-known that a Dwarf Fortress world is so complex and detailed that it can be intimidating for new players. Which is why Getting Started with Dwarf Fortress: Learn to play the most complex video game ever made is the perfect introduction into the world of DF. It's well-written and very clear, along with some wonderful illustrations.
