Costume Count Reporting
I'm not going to tally the Costume Count until Wednesday night, so you still have time to send in your information. We had about sixty trick or treaters this year. They seemed abundant, given that it was snowing and the wind was gusting 30+ MPH. Lots of kids had "winter coat" as their costume, but they would always explain, sometimes at great length, their actual costume if you asked.
Up here, you just ignore the weather, if it's something important. Oh, and you deny the weather, too. Walking out of the Gardens today, I saw two women walking in, and one of them said, "You know, the growing season in George is shorter than it is here."
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
In reality, we're all living in the winter version of New York Mining Disaster 1941. The song has a great story behind it, too: New York Mining Disaster 1941.
