Doom 3 Benchmarks
Hot off the presses from HardOCP: http://www2.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NjQy.In short, Nvidia kicks the crap out of ATI because of their superior OpenGL driver. This has been the pattern for the last several generations of cards--ATI wins D3D, sometimes decisively, and Nvidia dominates OpenGL.
There have been rumors for months that ATI is completely rewriting its OpenGL driver. So the question at this point is do they have an ace up their sleeve--a new driver to be released in the next two weeks--or are they just going to breathe Nvidia's exhaust with the Doom 3 Engine?
