And a Bit More on Sketchboard

Future Nobel Prize Winner Brian Pilnick sent in some clarifications on that MIT sketchboard story:
The project began solely as an MIT project titled "Assist: A Shrewd Sketch Interpretation and Simulation Tool" and you can see the website here.

Later, it developed into a joint project between MIT and Microsoft, and you can see that project page
here--as you can see, the purpose of the project was not to use the wall as an input device. You'll also note the project links to where you can download the program (and source code) from Microsoft. You can grab a version of the program compiled for non-tablet PC's here. If you get some COMException you need to install the Journal Viewer from windows update.

So Ryan D. was correct that Microsoft is shipping the software, but this is the rest of the backstory.
