Don't Crush That F-18, Hand Me The Pliars

Out of a surprisingly large number of e-mails about this, Sean Froc gave the best explanation of the problems with the F-18 Hornet Ultra Low Fly-by Video. Here's what he wrote:
1) The plane featured in the video does not appear to be a F-18. The plane in this video only has a single tail fin on the rear fuselage. A F-18 has a characteristic two rear tail fins. If you pause the video at the right time, and compare the image with these two links from Wikipedia, you can see that this plane looks much more like a British AV-8B Harrier:

2) The person on the ground doesn't seem to move until after the plane passes over him. I have two problems with this. The first is that there should be some kind of weight turbulence. The wake from the air pressure caused by this plane moving over him should be enough to flaten him. But he doesn't even flinch (not even a ripple in his clothes). The second issue I have is that jet engines tend to be noisy. I would think that there would be some reaction from the tremendous noise (even if he does have ear protection).

Also, here's a bonus link that's entirely amusing (via Plastic Axe): What Stormtroopers Do On Their Day Off.
