"Giving Voice to Harry Potter"

I always thought Mel Blanc was totally amazing because he did all the character voices for the Warner Brothers cartoons. Today, DQ reader My Mom sent me a link to a Washington Post story about Jim Dale, who is the reader for the audiobooks version of the Harry Potter series.

What I didn't know is that Dale does ALL the character voices for each audiobook--more than two hundred of them.

He's had quite a life (he was a British pop sensation in his early twenties and was the first singer signed by George Martin), and the article is a good read. Here's the link:
