“What is this?” Gloria is holding up the Etch-a-Sketch that Eli 4.0 got for his birthday.
“It’s a drawing device,” I said. “The knobs make the line go in one of four directions.”
“Thanks for that,” she said. “I mean the WORD.”
On the Etch-a-Sketch, clearly, is the word BUTT.
“Um, not sure about that. I don’t remember.”
“Is there anything you do remember?” she asked.
“Yes. I clearly remember that you missed seeing “BOOTIE” on there before we did “BUTT”.
